S.A.T.
Thorne Research S.A.T. is a botanical formula for the liver and contains milk thistle (Siliphos®), artichoke and curcumin (Meriva ®). S.A.T. contains highly absorbable forms of milk thistle extract and curcuma.
Better Absorption
Normally, these substances are poorly absorbed by the body, but the combination with phosphatidylcholine greatly improves the absorption. For example, research shows that 180 mg of Siliphos is more effective than 1000 mg of normal milk thistle extract. And a human study demonstrated 29-times greater absorption of Meriva than ordinary curcumin.
