Beware of Low-Quality Protein
The majority of whey protein products sold in stores or online contain unhealthy additives such as refined sugars and artificial sweeteners (aspartame, sorbitol, saccharin, acesulfame K, sucrose), soy, non-organic eggs, wheat gluten, preservatives, and inferior proteins.
Even pure whey protein powders are often of much lower quality than the raw ingredient—milk—itself. There are different production methods that can be used to make whey proteins, and these various methods result in different quality levels of whey powder.

Protein Powder Fraud
There are also companies (including large and well-known ones) that add isolated amino acids to their supposedly pure whey powder. This causes the protein content to appear higher in lab tests than it actually is.
