Hyaluronic acid is responsible for maintaining elasticity and keeping the skin young. It does this along with collagen.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid, in English hyaluronic acid (HA), is a glycosaminoglycan produced in our body itself. It is mainly found in and on connective tissues such as joints, skin and eyes. Because it can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water, it is a lubricant that hydrates the skin and keeps it young.
What does Hyaluronic Acid do?
The effect of hyaluronic acid relies mainly on its lubricating action and hydrating the skin. Hyaluronic acid contributes to:
- Maintaining the normal structure, elasticity and appearance of the skin
- Preserving the firmness of the skin
- Diminishing the visible signs of aging
- Making the skin more beautiful from the inside

Hyaluronic acid experiences
Research shows that hyaluronic acid supplements have beneficial effects on skin hydration. The highest dosed is the Viridian with 200 mg per capsule.
Experiences with hyaluronic acid supplements in capsules and powder are the best. Capsules are considerably easier to swallow than tablets.
Side Effects of Hyaluronic Acid
Taking hyaluronic acid supplements has no known side effects. And that is no surprise either since it is an all-natural body substance.
