Quality
Vitals is committed to quality, as evidenced by their ISO 22000 certification. This means that they meet the highest food safety requirements and have a quality management system.
The quality department ensures consistently high quality through strict controls on suppliers and raw materials. Vitals continues to continuously improve its product range based on scientific insights and technological developments. Since 2016, Vitals has had ISO 22000 certification, which goes beyond the legally required HACCP. In addition, Vitals is certified organic and supplies about 20 organic dietary supplements.
Vitals assortment
Vitals offers a wide range of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, probiotics, fatty acids, amino acids and other nutrients. They have more than 20 organic dietary supplements and 70 vegan products.
Patented ingredients
The desire to give the range the highest possible quality is reflected, among other things, in the use of as many patented ingredients as possible. The origin of these substances can be fully traced and the production method is thoroughly established. This offers a high degree of guarantee for both quality and safety.
An example is the Lactoferrin-BT which contains Biotis® from FrieslandCampina Ingredients.
Knowledge
Vitals has extensive knowledge about health and natural nutrients, and shares this with professionals and consumers through various channels. Unfortunately, due to Dutch and European legislation, it is not possible to provide extensive information about the effects of their products. However, Vitals does offer information about the quality, composition, ingredients and usage recommendations of their products.
Allowed health claims are limited by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) review, which limits Vitals from sharing new scientific insights. The OrthoKennis foundation provides extensive information on the scientific underpinnings of nutrients within complementary medicine.
Sustainable
Recyclable packaging
Vitals promotes the circular economy and contributes to it by using glass and biobased, recyclable plastic jars. Both glass and plastic can be recycled, and the boxes are made from agricultural waste and fully recyclable. Vitals emphasizes the importance of waste separation and wants to contribute to the health of people and nature.
Heat-cold storage
Since 2011, Vitals has been using thermal energy storage to heat and cool their office in a gas-free manner.

Lately, Vitals has installed solar panels to power the office, generating clean energy with zero CO2 emissions.
Green sedum roof
Soon Vitals will have a green sedum roof that increases biodiversity, promotes cleaner air, absorbs rainwater and provides better insulation.

Vitals uses 100% recycled and recyclable paper for brochures and 80% biobased, recyclable plastic for mailings.
