Symflora® Femme is a yeast strain specially developed for women. This supplement is also safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. From week 32 of pregnancy and during the breastfeeding period, however, our first choice is Symflora® Baby. The nutrition and supplements you consume during this period also reach your baby. The bacterial strains in Symflora® Baby have been specially selected for your child’s important first year of life.

First in the Netherlands with patented Quatreflora™

Symflora® Femme is the first product in the Netherlands containing the yeast strain Quatreflora™. Quatreflora™ is produced from the patented strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3856. This unique strain has been developed according to the latest scientific insights and has been clinically researched.

User-friendly capsules

Symflora® Femme is easy to take orally thanks to its user-friendly capsules. Because the yeast strain remains intact, local administration is not necessary.

Arrives alive at its destination

Symflora® Femme differs from other products in our Symflora® range because it contains a yeast rather than a bacterial strain. It also does not contain ProbioAct® technology, and there is a good reason for this.

Yeasts have a robust cell wall that protects them against the acidic environment of the stomach. As a result, they remain intact and reach their destination alive. Bacterial strains such as lactobacilli are generally less resistant to stomach acid.

No ProbioAct® required

ProbioAct® is a technology that guarantees the stability and survival of bacteria. This technology is not required for yeasts, as they are naturally resistant to stomach acid.

Suitable for vegans

Bacterial strains in synbiotics are often cultured on dairy-based media, making them unsuitable for a vegan lifestyle. Saccharomyces cerevisiae, however, is cultivated on a plant-based medium such as sugar beet or sugar cane. Symflora® Femme is therefore also suitable for vegans.
