Herbs for a good night's sleep**
Valerian, passionflower, lemon balm and green tea form the core of SleepComplex. During stressful periods and busy workdays, they help body and mind to relax.** These natural calming agents support sleep quality, help reduce snoring and can also be used in case of jet lag.**

1. Valerian

Valeriana officinalis is an herbaceous plant that has been used for centuries due to its relaxing and calming properties.** Valerian supports the maintenance of healthy sleep and helps you wake up feeling refreshed.** The main active compounds in valerian root are valerenic acids. The valerian extract in SleepComplex is standardized to at least 0.8% valerenic acids.
2. Passionflower

Passiflora incarnata is a climbing plant belonging to the passionflower family. Traditionally, the herb is used to help with nervousness, restlessness or tension.** Passionflower helps promote readiness for sleep and supports restful sleep.** These properties are attributed to the natural flavonoid compound vitexin. The passionflower extract in SleepComplex contains at least 3.5% vitexin.
3. Lemon balm

Melissa officinalis belongs to the mint family and is known for its characteristic lemon scent. Lemon balm is often used during periods of stress and tension and supports mental balance.** This makes the plant beneficial for sleep quality.** Rosmarinic acid is the main compound in lemon balm, and SleepComplex contains at least 5% of this polyphenol.
4. Green tea

Green tea originates from the Camellia sinensis plant and has a beneficial influence on sleep quality.** The leaves contain the amino acid L-theanine, among other compounds. Green tea promotes relaxation and supports natural sleep.** Due to a special extraction process, our green tea extract is caffeine-free.
5-HTP: precursor of melatonin
Griffonia simplicifolia, also known as African black bean, is a plant naturally rich in 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP). This compound is derived from the essential amino acid tryptophan and functions as an intermediate step in the conversion to serotonin. 5-HTP serves as a building block for serotonin and is therefore a precursor of melatonin.
Well-absorbed magnesium bisglycinate
Magnesium is a mineral that supports mental balance and contributes to vitality, making it a valuable addition to the herbs in SleepComplex. In magnesium bisglycinate, the mineral is bound to two glycine molecules, forming an amino acid chelate. This structure is robust enough to reach the intestines intact, allowing optimal absorption.
Helps reduce fatigue
Magnesium, vitamin B6, folate and vitamin B12 help reduce fatigue and tiredness. They also contribute to mental resilience. Folate additionally supports resistance to stress, while vitamin B6 helps regulate hormonal activity.

Safe form of vitamin B6
SleepComplex contains vitamin B6 in the biologically active form pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P). No side effects are currently known for this form based on recent scientific research. Moreover, the dosage of vitamin B6 in SleepComplex (1 mg) is far below the maximum safe daily intake (21 mg). Magnesium requires vitamin B6 for cellular uptake.
Folate improves magnesium and B12 uptake
Folate (5-MTHF) is the biologically active form of folic acid and is therefore better absorbed. It also enhances the uptake of both magnesium and vitamin B12. SleepComplex contains vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, an active form that does not require further conversion in the body.
