Coenzyme Q10 in food

Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble compound that naturally occurs in the body. In addition, Q10 is present in small amounts in foods such as meat, fish, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.

The natural form Q10 ubiquinol

Q10 exists in two forms: ubiquinone and ubiquinol. These substances are closely related and can be converted into each other in the body. Ubiquinone is the oxidized form of Q10, while ubiquinol is the reduced, biologically active form of Q10.

Although both forms occur naturally, they differ in structure and properties. The illustration below schematically shows the relationship between ubiquinone and ubiquinol and how these two forms are connected.

Ubiquinol vs ubiquinone

From the globally renowned Kaneka

A disadvantage of ubiquinol is that the substance is often unstable and susceptible to oxidation. However, after ten years of intensive research, developer Kaneka found a solution. This award-winning nutrient developer guarantees consistent quality, stability, and safety for its ubiquinol. As a result, Kaneka Ubiquinol QH™ became the first and only ubiquinol in the world approved as a nutritional ingredient.

An excellent price-quality ratio

Most Q10 supplements contain the inactive, oxidized form ubiquinone. This variant is absorbed five times less efficiently than the active ubiquinol. For this reason, ubiquinone is also much cheaper to produce than high-quality ubiquinol. However, a regular ubiquinone supplement is not five times cheaper than our Q10 Ubiquinol 100 mg. This ensures an excellent price-quality ratio.

High dosage of 100 mg per capsule

We value not only nutrient quality but also proper dosage. Therefore, we choose a high dosage of active ingredients to achieve optimal effectiveness in the body. Our product therefore contains no less than 100 mg of biologically available Q10 ubiquinol. In addition, only one capsule per day is required.
