NAC as a semi-essential amino acid

The body normally produces the semi-essential amino acid cysteine from L-methionine. Under conditions such as surgery, intensive exercise, rapid growth, or dietary limitations, production may not meet demand. In these situations, supplementation with NAC 600 provides additional cysteine support.

Efficient absorption through acetyl binding

An acetyl group is a molecular component that improves how cysteine moves through the intestinal wall and into cells. The acetyl structure allows the molecule to pass cell membranes more efficiently.

The acetyl group also protects the molecule from oxidation and allows fast distribution inside cells. Enzymes inside cells then quickly release cysteine. Because of this process, N-acetyl-L-cysteine is absorbed better than regular cysteine.

Precursor of glutathione

Glutathione is a compound made from three amino acids: cysteine, glutamine, and glycine. Glutamine and glycine are usually easy to obtain from food, but cysteine intake can be limited. Cysteine is therefore the limiting factor in glutathione production.

Direct glutathione supplementation is often ineffective because the digestive tract breaks it down before absorption. Research shows that oral glutathione intake hardly increases glutathione levels. Because NAC provides cysteine in an absorbable form, supplementation with NAC supports glutathione production more effectively.

S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione also exists as a supplement. For personal advice on choosing between S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione and N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, customer support can provide guidance.

Stable capsule for optimal delivery

NAC is supplied in a vegan capsule that protects the powder from moisture and light. The capsule dissolves easily in stomach acid, allowing effective release and absorption.
