Lactase supports digestion of lactose in the intestines

Lactose is a milk sugar found in dairy products. The body uses the enzyme lactase, produced in the small intestine, to break down lactose into glucose and galactose, which the body absorbs easily. Lactase supplementation supports digestion when natural enzyme levels are insufficient.
