L-Tyrosine as a semi-essential amino acid
The body normally produces tyrosine from phenylalanine. Under certain conditions such as surgery, strict dieting, rapid growth, or intensive exercise, production may not meet demand. Tyrosine then becomes semi-essential, meaning intake through supplementation can help maintain sufficient availability.
Highly bioavailable form of l-tyrosine
This supplement uses the natural l-form of tyrosine. Tyrosine exists in two forms: the natural l-form and the synthetic d-form. The body recognizes only the natural l-form, ensuring efficient absorption and utilization.
Free form l-tyrosine preferred over acetyl-l-tyrosine
Supplements may contain free l-tyrosine or the water-soluble form N-acetyl-l-tyrosine. Although the acetyl form dissolves more easily, the body must first remove the acetyl group before using tyrosine. This process reduces efficiency. The free l-form therefore supports faster and more effective absorption.
Suitable for allergen-free and plant-based diets
Tyrosine occurs naturally in foods such as dairy, meat, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, oats, and wheat. Some people avoid these foods due to allergies or dietary choices. When dietary intake is insufficient, the body converts phenylalanine into tyrosine, which can lower levels of both amino acids. Plant-based and allergen-free supplementation helps maintain adequate intake.
Capsule form ensures stability and convenience
The supplement comes in capsule form, providing 500 mg l-tyrosine per capsule. Capsules protect the powder from stomach acid and support stable delivery, while also avoiding unpleasant taste.
