L-Lysine supports amino acid intake and l-carnitine production
L-Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means the body cannot produce it and must obtain it through food. Animal products such as meat and dairy provide the main dietary sources. People who consume little or no animal products may therefore benefit from supplementation. L-Lysine also serves as a precursor for l-carnitine, a compound the body produces only partly and which also mainly occurs in animal foods.
Highly bioavailable form of l-lysine
This supplement uses the natural l-form of lysine. From a biochemical perspective, lysine exists in two forms: the natural l-form and the synthetic d-form. The human body recognizes and utilizes only the natural l-form, ensuring effective absorption and use.
High dosage of 1000 mg per tablet
Dosage plays an important role in supplementation. Many l-lysine supplements provide 250 to 500 mg per tablet. Research suggests higher intake levels may be more suitable. Each tablet therefore provides 1000 mg, with a recommended intake of up to two tablets daily.
Added vitamin C supports immune function
Vitamin C contributes to normal immune system function and supports resistance during physical effort. Since the body cannot produce vitamin C, intake through diet or supplementation remains important. Vitamin C also supports effective utilization of l-lysine.
User-friendly tablet form
The supplement comes in tablet form, which many users find practical and convenient. Tablets eliminate the need for mixing powders or liquids, making daily intake simple.
