Hydrolyzed collagen peptides for better absorption

Collagen comes from animal sources, most often fish or cattle. For this collagen, gelatin is extracted from bovine skin. The collagen peptides then go through hydrolysis. This breaks the peptides into smaller molecules of about 3.3 kilodaltons. The body can absorb these smaller peptides more easily. Natural enzymes split the amino acid chains into smaller parts during this process.
