High dosage of 650 mg betaine per tablet

Betaine hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of betaine. Betaine HCl supplements stomach acid production and increases acidity in the stomach. This supports protein digestion and supports mineral absorption.

Powerful combination of betaine and pepsin

Supplementing betaine HCl together with pepsin creates a strong synergistic formula. These substances support each other in function. The body does not produce pepsin directly in its active form. The stomach first produces pepsinogen, which is the inactive precursor. Hydrochloric acid in the stomach then converts pepsinogen into active pepsin.

Only in this active form can pepsin break down proteins. During this conversion process, part of the pepsinogen is lost. For this reason, supplementing both active pepsin and betaine HCl is an efficient approach.

Added 160 mg pepsin with high enzyme activity

When selecting an enzyme supplement, enzyme activity is just as important as dosage. This formula contains 160 mg pepsin with a high enzyme activity of 1:3000.
