Solgar® Advanced 40+ Acidophilus contains science-based live micro-organisms (bacteria). The bacteria can resist stomach acid and bile. In addition, a unique carbohydrate complex (sodium alginate) provides additional protection to ensure the bacteria reach the gut intact. It contains 1.5 billion (five bacterial strains) of "friendly" gut bacteria per capsule.
