Iodine

Social Media Theme Week: Iodine Week
A press release was recently issued regarding the results of a study commissioned by the RIVM. It revealed that iodine intake in the Netherlands is declining: we now consume one-third less iodine than 15 years ago. This is concerning, as iodine is an essential trace element with many functions: it contributes to a normal thyroid and nervous system function, the maintenance of cognitive functions, a properly functioning metabolism, and the maintenance of healthy skin.
Kelp - Seaweed
Most supplements contain iodine derived from seaweed. We offer eight high-quality iodine supplements in various dosage forms. The Reference Intake (RI) for iodine in the Netherlands is set at 150 mcg per day, but in some cases, a higher intake is desired. Are you curious if you are getting enough iodine? Please contact our advisory team via phone, chat, or email.
