Organic Ceylon Cinnamon
Ayurvedic Cinnamon contains 600 mg of certified organic Cinnamon per vegetarian capsule. The Cinnamon is contained in a vegetarian capsule and contains no additional excipients or fillers. The product is also certified vegan, is non-GMO, not irradiated, and is free from all known allergens.
The Cinnamon is sourced from India, and the entire product is produced in the UK.
Not all cinnamon is the same
Most of the cinnamon available in supermarkets and dietary supplements is cassia cinnamon—a more affordable and widely accessible type. Ceylon cinnamon, often called "True Cinnamon" (Cinnamomum verum) is milder, more delicate, and has a subtler flavor, making it the better choice for daily use.
This distinction is important because cassia contains much higher levels of coumarin, a natural compound that can be harmful in large quantities. Ceylon cinnamon, on the other hand, contains only trace amounts, which is why it has long been the preferred option for regular consumption.
Cinnamon in the Ayurvedic tradition
In Ayurvedic tradition, Ceylon cinnamon has always been highly regarded for its warming properties and its ability to support digestive comfort and metabolic balance. According to Ayurveda, it works gently and consistently over time as part of a daily routine. It is not intended as a cure for specific ailments but rather as a traditional herb with a long history of use by those seeking natural, steady support for digestive and metabolic health.
