This year, AOVs supplements will be packaged in more sustainable packaging of 100% recycled plastic, or rPET. By choosing rPET, AOV contributes to a more circular economy. This means that no new plastic needs to be produced.
What is recycled plastic, rPET?

First choice rPet, second choice glass
Producing and recycling glass packaging involves more carbon emissions. Transportation also consumes more energy because glass weighs more. For AOV, rPET is the first choice when it comes to sustainability.
Bottle made of 100% recycled plastic (rPET)
AOV has chosen vials that have less impact on our environment. For now, AOV is the first nutritional supplement brand in the Netherlands to take this step. The current packaging (cap, label and bottle) are already recyclable. AOV has only now taken an extra step by making the new vials from 100% recycled plastic.
As soon as AOV is able to produce a cap made of rPET, which guarantees guarantees the same quality and shelf life of our supplements, they will they will apply that. There are labels made of rPET, but they are less recyclable than current labels due to the glue and paint type make them less recyclable than current labels.
No or as few excipients as possible
80% of the range has a plant-based capsule, which means that no or as few as few excipients as possible. AOV seizes the opportunity of this to adjust the label and make this more visible.
